Strengthening the Pipeline, Building the Legacy

The Student National Association for Black Veterinarians (SNABV) Chapters are an integral part of the National Association for Black Veterinarians’ mission to increase the number of Black professionals in veterinary medicine. These student-led chapters are established at veterinary schools across the country to provide community, representation, and empowerment for Black veterinary students and their allies.

SNABV Chapters foster environments that promote academic excellence, mentorship, leadership development, and cultural awareness—while also offering valuable exposure to veterinary career pathways for students from kindergarten to graduate school. Through collaborative outreach, signature events, and campus engagement, SNABV Chapters are shaping the next generation of Black veterinarians
