SNABV Mentoring Program

You are invited to join the mentoring program, through NABV, designed to support students and develop relationships with mentors. This can be a doorway to internships, clinical experiences, animal experiences, and receive extensive assistance for veterinary, graduate, or professional school preparation.

We will follow up with more detailed information and the dates of the meeting.

I am available to attend the following mentoring events. Dates to be determined.

Virtual Meet & Greet-At this event mentors and mentees will be introduced. Smart goals will be discussed, and communication plans and potential meetings will be reviewed.
Virtual Program Launch Mentees are provided with mentor matches and will attend a brief information session. Mentees will reach out to mentors after this date.
Virtual Professional Development Weel comment to supporting a mentee prepare for the NABV Virtual College Fair. Mentors should provide advice to students on attending the college/career fair, and students should attend as many College/Career Prep Week events as they can. Students will submit their resumes to their mentors to review.
Virtual Interviews Practice - Focus on interviewing skills this month. Schedule a time to conduct a practice phone interview. Mentors should have example questions ready to go and can share constructive feedback on answers.
