2nd Annual National Association for Black Veterinarians Annual Conference
“Bridging and Building: Securing the Pipeline and Promoting Advancements in Diversity and Inclusion”
June 12-14, 2020 POSTPONED for our 2nd annual conference in partnership with the Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine! The conference will include several notable speakers, research presentations, a college and career fair, and more. Registration will open in January so SAVE THE DATES!!
This year’s event will be themed, “Securing the Pipeline and Promoting Advancements in Diversity and Inclusion.” Our goal is to continue to raise awareness of the disproportionate amount of African-Americans in the field of veterinary medicine and to discuss ways to advance and secure the pipeline of Blacks entering the veterinary profession. We are currently seeking individuals to serve as speakers and/or presenters at our second annual conference. The National Association for Black Veterinarians invites proposals of innovative, engaging, and substantive sessions that will raise challenging questions, engage participants with practical evidence of “what works,” and create and encourage dialogue to encourage further efforts of diversity and inclusion within the field of veterinary medicine.
